My heart is heavy at the thought of the suffering in Houston. Last night I dreamed my house was flooded, I was wading through my living room, my cats were meowing from the countertops as their bowls floated by, the couch I’ve had for 30 years was a sodden mess.
I had to pee but couldn’t open the bathroom door. I woke up and sat straight up, my heart beating extra fast.
It was only a dream for me, but in Houston it’s a nightmare for people just like us. That’s why I’m dedicating the September 10 Yoga Nidra class to Houston, and donating the proceeds from all proceeds to Direct Relief.
Please come, Yoga Nidra is a relaxing and healing practice, designed to rest body and mind. It’s accessible to anyone, even if they haven’t done yoga before. You’ll be taking care of yourself, and the people of Houston struggling to regain normality in the wake of the flooding.
